My Mandalas
Mandalas are defined as exotic geometric designs that symbolize the essence of the universe. More ancient than the earliest written religions, they were created to symbolize songs shared among people about the world around us. They were later used as an aid to meditation in Hinduism and Buddhism.
For me they are total therapy. Each mandala is a process and a revelation of whatever is going on in my life. The "painting" part is easy. It's figuring out what to do with the space that takes forever. Each one is a piece of my soul and life story, so I tend to keep my originals.
But if you would like to purchase one, I can have a beautiful 20" x 20" giclee copy made that I hand embellish to look just like the original. The cost is $700 unframed or $800 framed.
Thank you for checking out my site and my mandalas.
Mental health, depression, and the plea to open a window to let others in. Dedicated to Stephen "tWitch" Boss, a beautiful soul who brought so much joy into the world.
Finding the beauty in life again during Covid lockdown.
Healing old wounds, creating healthy boundaries and self-worth.
Mootz Mandala in honor of my mom, Marilyn Ann (Stoelting) Benson (7/1/37 - 9/18/20), known to us as The Mutz. She grew up on a farm in N. Dakota and loved hummingbirds and roses. She raised two daughters who love and miss her very much. This was such therapy for me.
In honor of George Floyd and all the other victims of racism. Black Lives Matter.
Order emerging from chaos. A common theme for me. Inspired by Obi Ndefo who has truly risen from the ashes.
